Our unique history of waterfowl hunting lacks critical components which make its preservation fleeting and difficult. Because of barriers of geography and language, much of Louisiana’s rich history was passed on in the oral tradition, leaving an accurate written or photographic recounting nearly impossible. Many of the actors could neither read nor write and few could afford cameras. Those contemporaneous records which did exist were lost to innumerable hurricanes and storms which plagued their very existence.
We desperately need your help in the preservation process by submitting photographs, document writings, and preserved memories for future generations.
