Preserving Louisiana’s Waterfowling

The Louisiana Waterfowling Heritage Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of our state’s storied history of waterfowling. Our celebrated past is defined by many aspects of hunting – people, decoys, duck calls, camps and folklore. Like our vanishing wetlands, the people and means which define the rich tradition fade from recognition with each passing day.

It is our mission to safeguard the memory of those pioneers who helped define our waterfowl hunting heritage by offering an honest view of the past for future generations to study and enjoy. It is our hope that in providing a glimpse to the past, the future of duck and goose hunting may in part be preserved.
